The Multicultural Division aims to promote awareness and appreciation of diverse human identities among our state population and support professionals across all psychological fields. Events participated or hosted by the division includes: virtual difficult dialogues, the Multicultural Conference, cultural events in Minnesota, and MPA First Friday presentations. The division offers three annual awards for distinguished professionals, sponsors a diversity delegate to attend the National APA Practice Leadership Conference, maintains an active listserv for our members, and offers members the opportunity to serve on the diversity committee (meets monthly).  MPA members are encouraged to join the multicultural division as general members or as diversity committee members. They can send questions about the division or request to join the committee at [email protected]. The multicultural division recognizes diversity in our membership and client populations as including, but not limited to, differences in age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, language, or socioeconomic status.
