What is the commitment?

The Leadership Program is a 12-month commitment that begins in January of 2022 and ends in December of 2022. It is expected that the time commitment may change from month to month depending upon the activities that are planned. What activities am I expected to do?

All participants are expected to attend 4 Governing Council Meetings throughout the year. Additionally, participant can choose one Executive Committee meeting to observe. Throughout the year there will be 4 leadership focused meetings. All participants will also be matched with a mentor and they are expected to meet with the mentor monthly. We also ask that participants join a committee or division! Lastly, participants are expected to attend Mental Health Day on the Hill and the Annual Convention.

What will I learn?

You will learn how MPA governance operates, more about your leadership style, and if leadership is for you. You will also make friends and connections!

Who is a good candidate?
