Trisha A. Stark Community Involvement Award

The 2023 Award Nomination period is now closed.

The Minnesota Psychological Association invites members to nominate individuals and/or organizations with psychologist volunteers, who have demonstrated significant contribution to the community through volunteer activity. The enhancement of community is very important, and this award is given in the spirit of recognizing and promoting the volunteer service of psychologists to improve their community. The individual award will be given to an MPA member who has been involved in a single noteworthy project, or a series of projects. A collaborative award will be given to an organization in which a psychologist volunteer plays an active and integral part of a project related to improving mental health or personal functioning of individuals or the community at large.

This award acknowledges and memorializes Dr. Stark’s unfailing advocacy for underserved members or our community. Dr. Stark has served on the Board of Directors for Walk-In Counseling Center, People Incorporated, and served as Chair of the Governing Council, State Operated Services for the Minnesota Department of Human Services in addition to holding virtually every volunteer and paid position within MPA. Dr. Stark is generous with her time and resources in far too many ways to enumerate. Her passion is to ensure that all people, especially those most in need, receive effective and prompt access to needed mental health services and other services.
